Boarding
Here at Fortuna Park, we like to do things a bit differently.
By only having 12 kennels we can focus on having a peaceful and calm environment, where your dog is treated like one of our own. A home away from home, you can relax knowing your four-legged friends every need and want is being met.. We only take small-medium friendly dogs. *Other dogs on a case-by-case basis.
We use pet friendly plants for sensory stimulation and enrichment. Not only are they planted throughout the kennels, but each run also has its own pot of pet grass. The benefits of the plants we use have been studied at length by Vets and Scientists (See more information on the plants here).
Each kennel has its own raised hammock style bed and a basket with soft warm blankets.
Every kennel has its own grassed run, but all dogs take turns in having daily runs in one of our bigger paddocks.
There is cool mist setup to help lower the temperature on those hot days.
Here at Fortuna Park, we feed quality dog food, and we love using our homemade treats to spoil our guests.
Kongs and other food enrichment activities are available, as well as an adventure paddock with tire tunnels, mounds to climb and different surfaces and smells for a sensory adventure. For dogs who are prone to anxiety, or you feel they could use a little extra calm during their stay, we have Prosperity Pets Supplements on hand and recommend using the Anxiety & Temperament as a drug free anxiety relief option. *optional extra
Clam shell paddling pools and digging pods are also provided as seasonal extras, weather permitting.
There is an on-staff vet nurse, trainer and groomer to ensure your dogs every needs are met. We also have a 24/7 vet on call. The amazing Dr Karon from Vets2U. We are happy to give medications if required.
Grooming is available as an extra.
Pricing
Our current rate is $40.00 per day per dog.
Two dogs (from same household) in same kennel is $70.00 per night.
We discount for long term stays. Please ask for details.

For people who have a Ffortuna bred dog, the rate is $30 a night.
Anxiety Supplement $5 per meal
Dogs must be up to date with kennel cough and minimum C3 vaccination
Our Kennels

We accommodate most small and medium breeds of dogs but not ALL dogs are suitable for boarding. Please refer to the section regarding this. Larger dogs maybe considered

We will not board dogs that are people aggressive. If your dog shows signs of aggression towards us, you will be contacted to arrange collection.

Our kennels are brick, concrete and wire construction.

We have Cool Mist and fans in place for the hot summer months. Paddle pools are provided for dogs who like water.

We have 12 kennels which open into large exercise areas, we also have several paddocks where dogs will get ample time out to run and play.

We NEVER run dogs together unless they usually live together.

We can cater for dogs that require medication and do not charge extra for administering meds.

We feed a quality diet used on our own show and breeding dogs.

Getting you dog ready for a stay.

Most dogs cope or adjust well to being in kennels. Many of them look forward to coming back and are happy to be here.

If your dog is not used to boarding and you are planning an extended holiday, we strongly recommend that you consider overnight sleep overs in our off-peak periods (when school is in!). This will assist your dog in getting used to us and the surrounds. Building up to a 2 - 3 days stay is a good idea. Most dogs will come around, but it is much nicer for them if they are familiar with any kennel before being delivered at peak time (lots of activity and increased noise) for a long stay.

NOT ALL DOGS ARE SUITABLE FOR BOARDING. Experience and knowledge tells us that not all dogs will cope well with boarding.

Dogs that are on anti-anxiety medication will need to be assessed on an individual basis. If your dog has anxiety or aggression issues, please let us know at the time of booking.
